During the 1998 school year, the Academy underwent an intensive
self-study in preparation for the evaluation by the New England Association
of Schools and Colleges.
A team of educators who visited the school voted to grant Mount Saint
Charles Academy full accreditation for a ten-year period. The report from
the visiting team cited the school community, which “was proud of
its long and rich tradition, warm in its hospitality, and highly dedicated
to its mission.” They were especially impressed by the leadership
of the school for its exceptional vision and dedication to the fulfillment
of the academic and spiritual mission of the school. The commission accepted
with equal enthusiasm the interim report submitted in 2001.
